Norwegian herring exports to Egypt were particularly outstanding: export value of 240 million Norwegian kroner, a year-on-year increase of 114 million Norwegian kroner, a 91% rise, with export volume of 16,763 tons, growing 69%.
Processed/pickled herring prices were 29 Norwegian kroner per kilogram, up 4 Norwegian kroner from the same period in 2024.
Frozen herring fillet prices were 23 Norwegian kroner per kilogram, up 1 Norwegian kroner from the same period in 2024.
Norwegian herring exports in June were 14,600 tons, with an export value of 314 million Norwegian kroner, representing year-on-year growth of 57% and 60% respectively.
In the first half of the year, Norwegian mackerel exports reached 73,662 tons, with an export value of 2.3 billion Norwegian kroner, representing year-on-year growth of 15% and 56%, with South Korea and Vietnam as the two main export markets.
Frozen whole mackerel prices were 30 Norwegian kroner per kilogram, up 3 Norwegian kroner from the same period in 2024.
In June, Norway exported 4,500 tons of mackerel, with an export value of 150 million Norwegian kroner, representing a 15% year-on-year increase in export value and a 16% decrease in export volume.
