Norwegian salmon prices saw a substantial increase in the first week of 2024, with the average per-kilo price of salmon rising 17.9 percent from the previous week. The price increase was seen across different weight categories, with the largest volume of salmon being exported to the E.U. Norway exported 18,566 metric tons of salmon and trout, with the largest volume going to Poland. The European salmon exchange Fish Pool reported an expected increase in future prices until Q3 2024, with January futures pricing increasing to NOK 105.20 per kilogram.
