Norwegian salmon prices increased by 1.57%

Norwegian salmon prices rose slightly by 1.57% to US$12.48/kg from US$12.46/kg. Over the past four weeks, average salmon prices have increased by 27.37% and over the past twelve weeks by 41%. Salmon weighing between 1 and 2 kg accounted for 0.7% of total sales at an average price of US$9.52/kg. Salmon weighing 2 to 3 kg and 3 to 4 kg accounted for 8.63% and 23.29% of total sales respectively, with average prices of US$10.98/kg and US$12.36/kg. Wholesale prices for fresh Atlantic salmon from Chile fell to $9.45/kg, down $0.25/kg from the previous week. The decline marks the end of seven weeks of rising prices.
