Norwegian salmon product exports reach another peak.

In October, Norway exported 148,729 tons of salmon, valued at 12.6 billion Norwegian kroner (approximately 1.17 billion USD). Compared to the same period last year, the export value increased by 816 million Norwegian kroner (75.9 million USD), a rise of 7%, while the export volume grew by 4%.

The largest export markets for Norwegian salmon in October were Poland, the United States, and France.

Sigmund Bjørgo, the ambassador of the Norwegian Seafood Council in China, stated that despite competition from countries such as Chile and Australia, the market share of Norwegian salmon products in China has significantly increased by 44% as of the third quarter of 2025.

In October, Norway exported 8,306 tons of trout, valued at 712 million Norwegian kroner, approximately 66.2 million USD, with an export value increase of 16% year-on-year, and an export volume increase of 18% year-on-year. The main export regions were the United States, Poland, and Ukraine.
