Marcin Bańcerowski, owner of the DiWine company, is advocating for the production of fruit wines in Poland, a market currently dominated by imports. He argues that Poland's abundant fruit, which often goes to waste due to low market price and high supply, could be processed into wines for both domestic consumption and export. Bańcerowski also stresses the need for local cooperatives for processing and self-harvesting to increase farmers' margin and promote local economies. He plans to launch an incubator for Polish winemaking and will share his thoughts on integrating local communities and shortening the supply chain at the National Challenges in Agriculture conference.
