From yesterday until June 5, 2025, Ukrainian oats imported into the EU will be subject to a tariff quota under the DCFTA agreement due to revised Autonomous Trade Measures effective from June 6, 2024. If import volumes exceed the annual average of 2,440.56 tons recorded between July 1, 2021, and December 31, 2023, the European Commission will reintroduce the DCFTA tariff quota of 4,000 tons within 14 days. Imports exceeding this volume in early 2024 will incur MFN duties until the end of 2024, with the DCFTA quota available again on January 1, 2025. Ukraine exported over 7,000 tonnes of oats in 2022 and 11,173 tonnes between July 2023 and May 2024 to various countries, including the EU.
