The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has called for increased support for humanitarian action in Sudan following the coup on October 25. The situation in Sudan remains uncertain, with some markets closed and food access limited, leading to rising food prices. Banks have re-opened, but mobile internet networks are still down. The coup has also disrupted healthcare services, including COVID-19 testing and vaccination campaigns, and education. However, schools are opening in some areas, and transport and delivery of humanitarian services have resumed. OCHA has received donations of US$744 million for humanitarian response in Sudan this year, but the remaining funding gap is over $1.3 billion.
