The business group Ocho Sur, dedicated to the sustainable production of oil palm in Ucayali, and the National Intercultural University of the Amazon (UNIA) signed a Framework Agreement to strengthen intercultural academic training, promote applied research, and foster the link between academia and the private productive sector of the region. The agreement, signed by the rector of UNIA, Dr. Juan López Ruíz, and the executive director of the palm oil producer, Michael Spoor, establishes joint lines of work in technical training, internships, professional practice programs, scientific research, and sustainable development.
