The Indonesian government has set the Purchase Price (HPP) for corn at IDR 5,500 per kilogram for farmers, a move aimed at maintaining price stability and supporting farmer welfare. This policy is in line with the government's efforts to encourage national food self-sufficiency and is expected to protect farmers from price fluctuations. With an increased dry corn production projection for the first quarter of 2025, the government plans to absorb 1 million tons of dry corn kernels in 2025 through Perum Bulog to strengthen the Government Corn Reserve (CJP) stock.
