Turkey: Oil sunflower production increased in Bilecik with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry

In Bilecik, oil sunflower, whose cultivation area increased by 50 percent with the seed support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, is sent to buyers in the domestic market and abroad. According to the information received from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, grant seed support was provided to farmers by Bilecik Governorship, Special Provincial Administration, Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry within the scope of the "Enabling the Use of Agricultural Lands (TAKE) Project" of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. In this way, the product obtained from oil sunflower, whose cultivation area has been increased from 60 thousand decares to 90 thousand decares in the last two years, is sold to unions and cooperatives through contract production.
