As of the beginning of the month, Kazakhstan had over 1.9 million tons of oilseed stocks, including 1.073 million tons of sunflower and 107.088 thousand tons of safflower. The National Association of Oilseed Processors has warned of potential raw material shortages due to dry weather conditions during the growing season. Different types of entities in Kazakhstan hold varying amounts of oilseed stocks, with oil and fat producers holding 248.94 thousand tonnes and individual entrepreneurs and farms holding 396.9 thousand tonnes.
