The Gokseong Okgwa Agricultural Cooperative (Chairman Ku Jeong-hoon) held the "First U.S. Export Ceremony for Frozen Black Pearl Corn" on the 25th at the Agricultural Product Circulation Center (APC) of the cooperative. The total export volume is 4.5 tons, with plans to expand distribution channels from the Korean-American market in the U.S. to major local distribution networks in the future. The frozen black pearl corn being exported is produced in the Okgwa region, processed and quickly frozen directly at the production site, ensuring freshness, quality, taste, and hygiene safety, and is expected to be well-received by overseas consumers. The Okgwa Agricultural Cooperative has been consistently working on modernizing agricultural product processing facilities and opening up export channels.
