The objective is that some of the technologies adopted in Brazil can be adapted for the management of the red palm weevil Rhynchophorus ferrugineus in the Arab country, located on the southeast coast of the Arabian Peninsula. The red palm weevil is the main pest of date palms in Oman and other countries in the Middle East and has recently been reported in Brazil.
