"This year, the area under this crop has increased, because in previous years, when the price was high and we felt a certain shortage of onions, producers were 'scared' and planted a lot of it this year," says Wanda Serdiuk. She adds that in the Khmelnytskyi region, agricultural enterprises allocated 800 hectares for vegetable crops in the 2025 season, of which 40% were for onions.
