The Brazilian government concluded phytosanitary negotiations with the authorities of India and Russia, opening opportunities for exports of macadamia nuts, common beans, and cowpeas. In India, the phytosanitary authorities authorized Brazil to export macadamia nuts. With over 1.4 billion inhabitants, the country is today one of the largest and most dynamic consumer markets for food in the world. In 2024, it imported more than US$3 billion in Brazilian agribusiness products, with a focus on sugar and ethanol complex and soybean complex products, as well as fibers and textile products. In Russia, Brazil received authorization to export common beans and cowpeas.
