Brazil: Opening of market in Indonesia for yerba mate exports

With this new authorization, Brazilian agribusiness reaches its 100th market opening this year, totaling 178 openings in 58 destinations since the beginning of 2023 Indonesia has authorized the Brazilian government to export yerba mate from Brazil to that country. This is a market in which the largest producers in Brazil are the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná. Brazilian agricultural exports to Indonesia exceeded US$ 3.69 billion in 2023, with 74% of this total coming from the soybean and sugar-alcohol complexes.
