Orion Provides Agricultural Machinery Worth 100 Million Won to Domestic Potato Farms

(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Shin Seon-mi = Orion Group announced on the 16th that it supported domestic potato farms with agricultural machinery through its social contribution program 'Oh! We're Potatoes'.

Orion [271560] donated potato harvesters and management equipment worth a total of 100 million won to potato farms in Boseong-gun, South Jeolla Province, and Dangjin-si and Yesan-gun in South Chungcheong Province.

Orion has been supporting agricultural machinery since 2022 to help improve productivity and increase income for domestic potato farms. By this year, it has supported agricultural machinery worth 350 million won over four years.

Orion guarantees income for potato farms through annual contract farming and produces and sells potato snacks to consumers.

This year, the company plans to contract with around 300 potato farms nationwide and receive approximately 16,000 tons of potatoes for producing Pocachip and Swing Chip.
