Every time Agri.BG showcases good examples from around the world, someone – to put it in our own words – will seek flaws, mock, or dismiss it: "That can't happen here." This week, we told you about Denmark's decision to introduce the world's first carbon tax on agricultural emissions – a historic and unprecedented step. Our conversations with Danish farmers on this issue were also intriguing. Some of them view the change with hope: they believe that when soil, nature, and the environment are considered, they get a chance to be farmers for many years to come – and not just them, but also their children. Because if we destroy the land today, who can say whether in 20 years we won't all be living in a desert in Europe?
