Over 4 million hectares of land in Ukraine are being cultivated outside the legal framework — Bashlyk

In Ukraine, over 4 million hectares of land are cultivated outside the legal framework, causing the state tens of billions of hryvnias in losses annually. "Satellite monitoring shows that in Ukraine about 4 million hectares of land are cultivated in 'gray' or 'black'. That is, these are land plots that have been cultivated for three consecutive years, but no rights are registered on them. The potential damage caused by this amount of land cultivated 'in the shadows' amounts to about 24 billion hryvnias per year," said Bashlyk.
