Over 1 ton of seized food at the Serbian border

Over 1 ton of foodstuffs of animal and non-animal origin were seized during a check at the Kalotina border checkpoint, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) reported. Read more: BFSA has a new executive director Inspectors from the Border Control Directorate, together with officers from the Main Directorate of Border Police, seized the illegal goods during a check of a cargo bus in the early hours of November 22. At 4:30 a.m., a minibus driven by a 37-year-old man from Blagoevgrad arrived at the checkpoint to enter Bulgaria. During the inspection, the border police officer found that the vehicle was transporting a large quantity of vegetables, meat, and dairy products.
