Between January and September, Argentina exported beef to 48 countries, with the United States experiencing the largest growth in imports at 46%. Key markets also include Chile, Israel, the European Union, and China, with the top 10 markets comprising 99% of exports. Most of the exports are frozen beef, while refrigerated beef accounts for 16%. Argentina slaughtered 10.22 million cattle, exceeding the average from 2017 to 2022. Despite record export levels, domestic beef consumption in Argentina is declining, with a 12.3% drop in per capita consumption from the previous year.
