(Agraria.pe) The II Edition of the Business Round “Cacao and its Biodiversity” concluded with purchase intentions for S/ 4,471,630, and its result confirms the growing market interest in sustainable Amazonian products of high added value. The event was organized by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI), through Agromercado, in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Production (DIREPRO) and the National Amazonian University of Madre de Dios (UNAMAD). The day brought together 21 offering organizations —among associations, cooperatives, native communities, and producer companies— that held commercial meetings with 11 national, international, and local buyers, installed in an equal number of negotiation tables. During the day, 15 negotiation rounds and 120 commercial meetings took place, where the participating companies expressed their interest in acquiring fine cacao, chestnut, copoazú, pulps, and other Amazonian derivatives.
