The gross value of horticulture in Paraná reaches R$ 7.1 billion.

The Agricultural Economic Bulletin, released on Thursday (13) by analysts from the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), of the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab), revised the data on the financial movement of vegetable farming in 2024. According to the document, "the Gross Production Value (GPV) was reassessed to R$ 7.1 billion," maintaining the participation of 3.8% in the total of R$ 188.3 billion of Parana's agribusiness. The survey reports that the planted area reached 115.8 thousand hectares, resulting in 2.9 million tons harvested. The bulletin highlights that potatoes, tomatoes, and cassava "in natura" concentrate "43.8% of the area, 49.4% of the volume produced, and 43.5% of the GPV." The Curitiba Regional Nucleus is presented as the main production hub.
