Palestinian farmers in the occupied West Bank are facing increased violence from Israelis during the olive harvest season, exacerbated by the Israeli army's attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023. In response, the 'Feza' campaign, initiated by Palestinian Agriculture Minister Rizk Selimiye, is mobilizing government bodies, civil society, and international volunteers to support and protect these farmers. This initiative allows farmers to harvest olives collectively despite threats and violence, with foreign activists also participating in solidarity. Additionally, the Palestinian Popular Resistance Committees are working to document these attacks, raise global awareness, and assist farmers in areas heavily targeted by Israeli forces, highlighting the ongoing struggle against what they describe as a genocide by Israel.
