In the first quarter of 2023, Peruvian papaya exports saw a significant decrease, with a 64% drop in volume and a 57% decrease in value compared to the same period in 2022. Despite the decrease, the international price of papaya increased by 19%. The majority of the exports were frozen papaya, with Chile being the main buyer. Andean Superfood S.C.R.L. was the company with the highest volume exported.
