Papaya, lemons, bananas are grown in a greenhouse farm in Turkmenabat (Turkmenistan)

In the greenhouses of the chemical plant named after S.A. Niyazov in Turkmenabat (Turkmenistan), 200 papaya trees are successfully grown, which have become the real pride of local gardeners. This exotic fruit, also known as the "melon tree", was brought from Thailand and quickly adapted to greenhouse conditions. Papaya begins to bear fruit eight months after planting, reaching a height of up to two meters in the first year. After three years, the trees enter full productivity, bringing up to 100 kilograms of fruit per year, which are rich in vitamins and microelements. Under the leadership of gardener Babagula Garyagdyev, who has been working in the field of tropical and subtropical crops for 24 years, the greenhouse farm grows not only papaya, but also lemons, bananas and olive trees.
