Paraguay: As of July, meat exports grew 6% in volume and foreign exchange

In total, 192,746 tons of red protein were exported, which specifically represents an increase of 5.78% compared to the January-July 2023 period; while the increase in billing was 5.93%, since USD 933,101,301.17 was received until last July. The subsector that did not have similar luck in terms of shipments is that of bovine offal, since there was a contraction in both volume and currency: -14.52% and -11.56%, respectively, in relation to January-July 2023. In poultry meat, luck is uneven until the seventh month of this year: the shipment of 3,827 tons represented a decrease of 5.03% compared to the same period of the last period; while USD 6,204,518 were received, registering an increase of 2.86%. Regarding the destinations of beef, Taiwan was positioned for the second consecutive month as the second most purchasing country, behind Chile, according to the official Senacsa report.
