The Paraguayan Chamber of Exporters and Marketers of Cereals and Oilseeds (Capeco) has reported a significant drop in corn exports in January 2024, with a decrease of 90,528 tons compared to the same period in 2023. This is due to farmers prioritizing the soybean harvest and waiting for improved corn prices. Despite this, corn exports from the 2023 harvest reached 3.2 million tons by January 2024. Brazil continues to be the primary market for Paraguayan corn, followed by Chile, Uruguay, South Korea, and Peru.
