Paraguay exports USD 350 million a year to Taiwan

Paraguay's outgoing ambassador to the Republic of China (Taiwan), Carlos Fleitas, highlighted that the country exports approximately USD 350 million in products annually to the Taiwanese market, with a portfolio led by beef, pork, and offal, as well as organic products such as sesame, chia, and organic sugar. Fleitas highlighted Taiwan as Paraguay's trading partner, as it is, along with Chile, one of the main destinations for Paraguayan meat. "In terms of meat, we export beef, pork, and offal to Taiwan," he explained in an interview with 920 AM. Regarding new trade opportunities, the diplomat mentioned that Paraguay is in negotiations to resume soybean exports to the Asian market, a key product in the national production matrix and for foreign currency earnings.
