The Paraguayan Chamber of Exporters and Marketers of Cereals and Oilseeds (Capeco) has reported a remarkable increase in soybean and derivative exports in February, reaching 1.7 million tons compared to 507,049 tons the previous year. This surge has led to a significant boost in foreign exchange income, totaling USD 681 million, which is an increase of USD 407 million from the previous year. The growth is primarily due to the higher exports of soy derivatives such as oils and pellets, highlighting an uptrend in industrialization. The main export destinations include Argentina, Brazil, Peru, the United States, and Chile. This outstanding performance is anticipated to positively impact Paraguay's economic growth and enhance the international reputation of its agricultural sector.
