In 2023, Brazil's state of Paraná set a new record in corn exports, shipping out 4.73 million tons, the highest volume since 1997. This accounted for 6% of the state's total agribusiness exports, which amounted to over 5.7 billion reais. On a national level, Brazil also had a record-breaking year, with corn exports reaching 55.8 million tons, a substantial increase from the 43.16 million tons exported in 2022.
