[Rural Economy and Fisheries Newspaper=Reporter Park Se-jun] Park Joon-ki, a senior research fellow at the Korea Rural Economic Institute, will assume the position of the 46th president of the Korean Agricultural Economics Association on the 1st. President Park's term will last for one year until August 31 of next year. The Korean Agricultural Economics Association was founded in 1957 and is a scholarly organization related to agricultural economics that conducts academic research presentations, international exchanges, agricultural policy evaluations, and policy proposals on agricultural and food economics theories and policies. President Park graduated from the Department of Agricultural Economics at Chonnam National University and earned his master's and doctoral degrees from the same university's graduate school. Since joining the Korea Rural Economic Institute in 1997, he has been dedicated to research on agricultural business stability, including the reform of the public interest withholding tax system. He has also served as the deputy director of the Korea Rural Economic Institute and contributed to policy development research.
