In September 2024, Peru experienced a significant boost in its pea exports, with a total of 2,332 tons valued at US$ 7.9 million, marking a 36% increase in volume and a 22% increase in value compared to the same month in 2023. The average price per kilogram dropped by 10% to US$ 3.37. Throughout the year, exports reached 12,038 tons, valued at US$ 40.5 million, surpassing the previous year's figures. The United States, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands were the primary recipients of these exports. Notably, the first two weeks of October saw exports of 1,057 tons, outpacing October 2023. Leading the exports were Fair Fruit Perú S.A.C., FRG Farms S.A.C., Agro Pacayales S.A.C., and the Andean Growers Group S.A.C., with DP World playing a major role in the export process.
