Peanut exports hit a record in 2025

Brazil's peanut exports reached a record volume in 2025, following a period of contraction in foreign sales. From January to August, more than 180 thousand tons were exported, with a revenue of US$ 222 million, according to a survey by the Institute of Agricultural Economics (IEA – Apta), from the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply of São Paulo (SAA). The volume represents a growth of 26% compared to the same period in 2024. According to the IEA, "the current exported crop was 100% of São Paulo grains." Among the main destinations are Russia, with 22% of the volume; China, with 21%; Algeria, with 11%; and the Netherlands, with 7%. The institute also highlighted the significant increase in exports to the Chinese market, which reached 35 thousand tons in a short period.
