In November 2024, Brazil experienced a significant increase in pepper exports, with a 18.8% rise in volume and a 19.6% increase in value compared to the previous month, totaling 4,302 tons worth 28 million USD. The US, Germany, Pakistan, and Vietnam were the top importers. Meanwhile, the US has seen a surge in pepper imports, attributed to cooling inflation, loose monetary policy, and concerns over potential economic policy changes after the election. Meanwhile, Vietnam's pepper exports, including 207,498 tons of black pepper and 27,837 tons of white pepper, reached 235,335 tons, generating nearly 1.22 billion USD, an increase of 46.9% from the same period in 2023.
