On December 24, 2024, global pepper prices were mostly stable with a notable increase in Indonesia, where Lampung black pepper and Muntok white pepper prices surged by 1.48% and 0.44% respectively. In other countries like Malaysia, Brazil, and Vietnam, pepper prices remained stable. However, Vietnam's domestic pepper prices for key regions saw a decrease of 300 - 1,000 VND due to reduced global demand. Despite this, a forecast is made for a new cycle of pepper price increases in the next 3-5 years due to insufficient global output to meet consumer demand. Vietnam, being one of the world's leading pepper producers and exporters, has 35 factories that meet international standards and have a processing capacity of approximately 140 thousand tons/year.
