On November 27, 2024, global pepper prices saw mixed results, with slight decreases in Indonesia and no changes in Vietnam, while Brazil experienced an increase. Vietnam, a key player in the global pepper market, is facing challenges such as potential reduction in pepper and spice cultivation areas due to weather, pests, diseases, and high costs of other agricultural products. Despite these challenges, the country maintains a stable domestic pepper price around 140,000 - 141,000 VND/kg. The Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA) has emphasized the need for a sustainable global spice supply chain and close cooperation for market development.
