Pepper prices saw a slight decrease in Indonesia on March 21, with Lampung black pepper and Muntok white pepper dropping by 0.09%. However, prices remained stable in other countries, including Malaysia and Brazil. In Vietnam, pepper prices increased by 100 USD/ton, despite a domestic market decrease of 500 VND/kg. The global pepper output is expected to drop by 2% in 2024, with Vietnam's output potentially falling to around 170,000 tons.
