Peru is set to begin the Electronic Phytosanitary Certification (CFE) for the export of vegetable products to Argentina in the first quarter of 2021. Replacing the traditional paper certificate, the CFE will provide security, eliminate intermediaries, and reduce the possibility of fraud. The National Agrarian Health Service of Peru (Senasa) will send electronic information directly to the importing country's authority. Senasa has agreements with several countries, including the Netherlands, Colombia, Mexico, and Chile, to ensure the international trade of agricultural products. In the eleventh months of 2020, Peruvian agro-exports saw a 3.3% increase in sales, reaching 6,806 million dollars.
