Irrigation continues to gain ground: Argentina added 63,400 hectares

The irrigation area grew by 63,400 hectares in Argentina over the last 24 months. This figure required a total investment of 185 million dollars, reported the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries of the Nation. "The dynamism in private investment present in Argentina confirms the strategic role of irrigation in stabilizing crop yields and ensuring forage production to improve agricultural productivity," highlighted the secretariat.
