The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation of Peru (MIDAGRI) temporarily lifted the suspension of phytosanitary requirements for the import of fresh pits (nectarine, cherry, plumcot, peach, plum, apricot) and fresh apples (Malus spp.) from Chile, following agreements with Chile's Agricultural Service to increase inspections and optimize the issuance of phytosanitary export certificates. This decision, published in the Official Gazette of Peru, is in effect until new phytosanitary requirements for these fruits are established by December 31, 2024.
