Peru exported 1,166 tons of strawberries in the first three weeks of February 2024

(Agraria.pe) In the first three weeks of February 2024, Peruvian exports of strawberries totaled 1,166 tons, registering a drop of -57.68% compared to what was reported in the first three weeks of February 2023. This decreasing trend is accentuated when comparing these data with January 2024, where 2,084 tons of strawberries were exported, denoting a decrease of 44.05% compared to January of last year. In the first three weeks of February of this year, the main destinations for Peruvian strawberries are the United States, with 400 tons and a 34.3% share; Canada, with 382 tons and 32.8%; and South Korea, with 186 tons and 15.9%. These three countries concentrated 83% of the international market for Peruvian strawberries.
