In February 2024, Peru experienced a remarkable 89% increase in passion fruit exports, totaling 1,249 tons, compared to the previous year. The Netherlands emerged as the top destination for these exports, followed by France, Belgium, Chile, and Italy. The leading companies in this surge were Quicornac S.A.C., Selva Industrial S.A., and Frutos Tongorrape S.A. Notably, the exports were predominantly frozen passion fruit, accounting for nearly half of the total, with a significant portion also being exported as juice.
