Peru exported 427 tons of dates for $2.7 million in March 2024

In March 2024, date exports reached 427 tonnes, worth $2.7 million, representing a 26% increase in volume and 83% in value, according to FreshFruit. Additionally, the average price increased by 46%, reaching $6.4 per kilogram. Peruvian dates were sent to 15 destinations, two more than in the same period in 2023. All exports were in the fresh presentation, with the Netherlands as the main destination: 30.4% share, with 130 tons purchased for $831,000 at an average price of $6.4 per kilogram.
