In August 2024, Peru experienced a slight increase in the value of its pineapple exports despite a 22.4% decrease in volume, with the average price per kilogram increasing by 29.7% to $5.1. The country exported 427 tons of pineapple worth $2.2 million to eight countries, with the United States being the primary importer. The exports were predominantly dehydrated pineapple, accounting for 65.5% of shipments. The largest Peruvian exporters were Greenbox S.A.C., Procesadora Perú S.A.C., and Agro Frost S.A.C., and the terminals with the highest share of pineapple shipments were APM Terminals, DP World, and Terminales Portuarios Euroandinos.
