From January to April of this year, Peru experienced a significant increase in fresh garlic exports, with a total of 3,584,395 kilos exported, valued at US$ 4,819,715, a notable rise from the 1,344,676 kilos exported in the same period last year. The United States was the primary importer, accounting for 35% of total shipments, followed by Ecuador with 33% and Mexico with 13%. However, the report from Agrodata highlights that neighboring countries such as Chile, Ecuador, and Colombia were imposed undervalued prices.
