Peru positions itself as the world's largest exporter of blueberries

(Agraria.pe) The National Agrarian Health Service (SENASA) announced that between May and September 2025, Peruvian blueberry exports exceeded 135 thousand tons, representing a 92.9% increase compared to the same period last year. If this pace continues, it is estimated that Peru will surpass 400 thousand tons exported by the end of the campaign in March 2026. According to official records, during the current campaign, Peruvian blueberries have reached 38 international destinations. 83% of the exports are concentrated in the United States, the Netherlands, and China, with the latter being a strategic market due to its growing demand for larger caliber berries and premium presentations. So far this year, Bolivia and Indonesia have been added as new commercial destinations, expanding export windows and consolidating Peru's position as a reliable and competitive supplier.
