In the framework of the Presidential Meeting and the XVI Binational Cabinet Peru–Ecuador, the head of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), Vladimir Cuno Salcedo, raised the need to expedite pending procedures to allow access for new products of interest from Peru to the Ecuadorian market, including husked rice, live pigs, pork, poultry meat, waxflower flowers, blueberries, and avian genetics, reiterating the principle of reciprocity and technical cooperation between both countries. The meeting, held at the Carondelet Palace, brought together the presidents and ministers of both countries to review sanitary, commercial, and productive advances, as well as to define new actions that promote sustainable development and the well-being of farming families in the border area.
