The National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa) of Peru is working to expedite the export of pomegranates and citrus fruits to the Thai market and remove any additional phytosanitary restrictions on blueberry exports to Thailand. Senasa and the Peruvian Foreign Ministry have met with the Thai Department of Agriculture to promote agreements that will allow producers from several Peruvian regions to export citrus fruits to Thailand, following similar procedures already in place for exports to other countries. Additionally, Senasa is providing information on the phytosanitary certification system for blueberry exports to ensure they do not pose a risk, as Thailand updates its import requirements.
