The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) of Brazil has approved Peruvian citrus producers to export oranges, limes, lemons, grapefruit, mandarins, and tangelo to the Brazilian market, expanding their reach to over 216 million consumers. In 2023, Midagri plans to grant access to strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberry plants, potatoes, and seeds. In 2022, Peruvian citrus fruits entered over 40 countries, with the United States being the primary market, accounting for 41% of exports. Mandarin was the most exported citrus fruit.
